Naxos is a place that will stay forever in memory. It is a beautiful Cycladic Island distinguished for its history and fertile land. Naxos has a ground of 440 km2 and a shore length of 148 km. It is located near the small Cycladic islands Heraklia, Shinoussa, Koufonissia to the west and Donoussa, Stroggili and Aghia Paraskevi to the east. Mythology has it that Naxos was the hometown of Dionysus. It is the only Cycladic island with a fertile ground and it is considered as blessed from the god. It produces a famous citrus liquor and quality local wine.
